Dr. Ivana Markovic to Advisory Board

Thursday, October 05, 2006 — 3E Company, the leading provider of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) compliance and information management services, today announced that Dr. Ivana Markovic, an internationally renowned environmental, health and safety scientist and lecturer, has joined its Advisory Board. The new addition emphasizes 3E Company's commitment to continuing the growth and expansion of its operations and customer base into Europe. The Advisory Board provides 3E Company's executive management and Board of Directors with guidance and support for decision-making and strategy formulation along with assisting in the identification and development of new domestic and global customer partnerships.

Dr. Markovic has more than ten years of international experience in safety, global environmental affairs and regulations, compliance, and waste management. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in helping international food and chemical institutions develop strategies for corporate social responsibility and public policy. Dr. Markovic's commercial management experience and thorough understanding of international business have enabled her to become a sought-after expert for the food and chemical industries.

Dr. Markovic previously worked with Kraft Foods International, the second largest food company in the world, as director of European affairs and director of corporate affairs for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMA). Prior to joining Kraft, she was group environmental manager and European government relations manager for ICI, an international chemical company. Dr. Markovic is currently a core faculty member of The Prince of Wales's Business and the Environment Program at the University of Cambridge. She also serves as a member of Dow Chemicals's Corporate Environmental Advisory Council.

"Dr. Markovic is very highly regarded in the food and chemical industries and we have no doubt that her vast knowledge and experience will be extremely valuable to 3E as we continue to expand internationally," said Jytte Syska, vice president of international operations, 3E Company. "We look forward to Dr. Markovic becoming an integral part of our advisory board and leveraging her extensive experience to help us strengthen our market leadership position and expand our presence in Europe."

3E Company's European expansion efforts have been bolstered by several recently announced initiatives, such as the internationalization of 3E Online-MSDS, the company's industry-leading Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) management system. 3E Company also recently reported on the implementation of its strategies for supporting clients with Globally Harmonized systems of Classification and Labeling for Chemicals (GHS) and Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of CHemicals (REACH). Expanding into Europe is a critical component of 3E Company's objective to continually provide customers with the highest quality global services and solutions that address the entire chemical lifecycle.

"I'm looking forward to contributing to 3E's continued European expansion and am delighted to be working with the company that pioneered the regulatory compliance management industry," said Dr. Markovic. "As 3E Company continues its international growth, I look forward to contributing to the company's global market leadership position in EH&S information services."
